This is serious stuff, bats are dying from a fungus called white nose syndrome.
Congressional members from 13 states in the US as asking the Obama administration for emergency funding to keep bats alive. A half million have already died. The bats are a vital link in the ecosystem as they feed on bugs that damage crops and spread disease. We should support this with contact with US Congress and the Interior Dept. in the US. Does anyone know more to add to this and what about this disease in other parts of the world, could it spread?
There is no evidence this disease can spread to humans.
