World Health Organization's new report states that 92 % of people live in areas where air pollution exceeds WHO limits with
SE Asia, eastern Mediterranean and western Pacific hardest hit. This follows a WHO report in May saying that 98% of residents in large cities of lower and middle income countries are FACING EXCESSIVELY HIGH air pollution. Dr. Carlos Dora, WHO Coordinator for environment and social determinants of health says there are 2 things happening, rich countries are getting much better in improving air quality and poorer countries are getting worse.
