Kenya, Esmond Martin, expert on illegal ivory trade found murdered in home in Kenya. A century ago there were 5 million elephants in the wild, now estimated to be only 400,000. Esmond's work had a major impact in decreasing illegal poaching
and trade in ivory. Esmond thru a lifeline to elephants says Save the Elephants. "With the end of legal ivory trading in China, the survival chances for elephants have distinctly improved. Other countries involved in trade in ivory are Vietman, South Korea, Thailand.
