GOT GREEN? EVENT AT ALONDRA PARK

Green Ambassadors event hosted by Environmental Charter High School Students
(Lawndale) 28, April, 2012- Environmental Charter High School Green Ambassadors students are hosting a water event at Alondra Park from 1:00pm -3:00pm on April 28, 2012 to raise awareness of the water crisis happening around the world. We will also teach how to conserve our water more efficiently so not only does it help our planet but also help people save money by using less tap water.
This event will provide information for the people around our community on how to conserve water and ways on how you could conserve water. We will teach people the importance of saving water and how it will affect us in the future. We would educate the community on different ways to cut down on our water waste. For example we would be selling rain barrel, when it rains the rain barrel to collect the rain and people can use it to water plants. There will be games and prizes for kids and food for all as well.
"I feel that this event will help the community understand the water crisis what we are having. Also it will show the community new ways to save water and help them cut down on their water waste."
– Jackie Molina. (ECHS student).
"Got Green event that will show the community on how to be greener by saving water and being eco-friendly. At the event they can buy Rain Barrels that will collect rain so they can use the water to water their plant or wallets made out of recycle magazine."
