In August of 2018, Greta began protesting outside her school in Stockholm, saying climate change was more important than education for future generations. It wasn’t long before many others joined her and within months a global movement was born. By March, 2019, more than 2 million students in 135 countries were striking from school. When Greta was invited to the UN climate summit in New York, she crossed the Atlantic in a zero-emission yacht. It’s been just 13 months since her first school strike in Sweden, she is now the world’s most famous climate activist.
