Community Conch works alongside Bahamian conservation organizations, the Bahamian government, and the fishing community to collect critical scientific data on queen conch populations throughout The Bahamas. We seek to engage local communities and students in our field work through internship and citizen science projects. Our work has made it possible for our Bahamian partners to begin a nationwide campaign in 2013 to raise awareness about the imminent threats to the conch fishery and bring much needed policy change to conch fishery management. Please visit our website to find more information about our work, our upcoming programs, and the most iconic Bahamian marine species, the queen conch.
